Kaplan Counseling | Christina Kaplan, LPC

It's Nice to Meet You.
Hi, I’m Christina – and I’m so glad you’re here.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and more than 14 years as a licensed clinician, I specialize in helping teens, young adults, and women find clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can grow and thrive.

Outside of work, I’m a wife, a proud mom to two amazing adult children, and a woman of faith. I love spending quality time with my family, decorating my home, cooking, and finding great deals while shopping! You can often find me in the garden, on a walk in nature, or on my Peloton. Lately, I’ve enjoyed exploring new hobbies like refinishing furniture and painting—creative outlets that keep me feeling grounded and inspired.
Why I Became a Counselor.
I became a counselor because I have a deep passion for walking alongside others in their healing journeys. I believe that with the right support, everyone can grow, heal, and create a life filled with peace and purpose. I’m here to hold space for you—without judgment—and to help you build self-confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.

I hold a Master’s in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Liberty University. I am licensed in the state of New Jersey and certified in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I stay committed to ongoing learning, always reading, researching, and staying up to date with the latest therapeutic approaches so I can bring fresh, effective strategies into our sessions.
In 2015, I opened Kaplan Counseling in Sewell, NJ, after years of working in group practices and outpatient hospital settings. Starting my own practice has allowed me to focus on the areas I care most deeply about—supporting women and young people during pivotal times in their lives.
